Today I am thankful that my parents are healthy and have enjoyed spending time with my son. I realize that at their age, many adults have illnesses that would keep them from getting down on the floor and playing trains or cars.

Day 1
It's a new year. And while I haven't normally been one to commit to a New Year's Resolution, this year I thought I would try something slightly different (and certainly attainable). With all that is going on in our country and our world, I really feel that I have so much to be thankful for. I have a great job. Secure, rewarding and challenging. My husband is secure in his job. We have a beautiful, healthy toddler son. Our home is comfortable and attractive. We enjoy vacations, eating out and planning for the future. I understand that many are not as lucky as us. I'd like to take the opportunity daily to document something I am thankful for. Some days it will be silly, other days more serious, but I hope that the process will be a reminder that no matter how bad or difficult my day seems, there is good in my life and I should not forget that. Here it goes.
